About Home Physiotherapy

No, you don't need a GP referral to see a private physiotherapist. You can book directly with me. However, if you have private health insurance, some providers may require a GP or consultant referral for reimbursement — it's worth checking with your insurer first.
I cover a wide area and am happy to discuss whether your location falls within my service area. Travel is included in the session fee for most locations. For addresses further afield, a small travel supplement may apply — I'll always let you know upfront.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being treated. For example, shorts are ideal for knee or hip problems, and a vest top works well for shoulder issues. You'll be in your own home, so you can easily change if needed.
This varies depending on your condition, its severity, and your goals. Some simple problems resolve in 2–3 sessions, while more complex conditions or post-surgical rehab may require ongoing treatment over several weeks or months. After your initial assessment, I'll give you a clear idea of what to expect and we'll review progress regularly.
Not at all. I bring a portable treatment couch and all the equipment I need. A space roughly the size of a single bed is usually enough. I'm very used to working in all kinds of home environments — from small flats to large houses — and can adapt easily.
I bring a portable treatment couch, resistance bands, exercise equipment, and anything else needed for your session. For exercises, I often use household items and your own environment to make the programme as practical and sustainable as possible.

Payment & Booking

I offer a free 15-minute discovery call so we can chat before you commit. An initial assessment (60 minutes) is £90 and follow-up sessions (45 minutes) are £75. Virtual appointments (30 minutes) are available for £50. I also offer discounted packages — a 4-session package at £284 (10% off) and a 6-session package at £395 (15% off). All in-person prices include travel within my core service area. Full pricing details are available on my Services page.
I accept bank transfer, card payment, and cash. Payment is due at the end of each session, or in advance for block bookings. I provide receipts for all payments, which can be used for insurance claims.
I understand that things come up. I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate. This helps me manage my schedule and offer availability to other patients who may be waiting.
Absolutely. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). I carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and have an enhanced DBS check. You can verify my registration on the HCPC register.
You can book through my Contact page using the online form and calendar, by phone, or by email. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours and can usually arrange an appointment within a few days.
